KIITEE 2012 - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University is a leading educational university of India with campuses spread across the country. More than 7000 students study full time in B. Tech., M. Tech, MCA, and MBA.

The institution has the distinction of becoming the youngest Deemed University of the country within six years of its commencement of Undergraduate programs. The varsity has received accreditation by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) of UGC for its Degree in Engineering, MCA and MBA programs.

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) conducts its own entrance examination (KIITEE) for admission into B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D/PDF etc.

KIITEE 2012 Exam Dates

• Date of Entrance Examination: April 22, 2012 & April 23, 2012

KIITEE 2012 Important Dates

• KIITEE 2012 written test will be held on: April 22, 2012 (Sunday)
• Date of Issue of Online Application Form for KIITEE 2012: January 10, 2012
• Last date for receipt of PG Medical (MD) Courses Application Form: January 02, 2012
• Last Date for Receiving KIITEE 2012 Application Form: March 05, 2012
• Declaration of Result: May 15, 2012
• Counselling sessions: June 02, 2012 to June 15, 2012

Eligibility Criteria For KIITEE 2012

B.Tech (4 Years)

• Education : For this course a candidate should have passed 10+2 Sc examination or its equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science.

• Age Limit : Maximum age limit is 21 years on 1st July in the year in which candidate is appearing in KIITEE

B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

• Education : Pass in three year Diploma course in engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

• Age Limit : Maximum age limit is 24 years on 1st July in the year in which candidate is appearing in KIITEE.

M.Tech

• Education : BE or B.Tech or its equivalent degree (e.g. AMIE etc) in the respective field of engineering and technology with a first class or its equivalent CGPA.

GATE qualified candidates will be given preferences in the process of selection. Candidates with 350 or above need not sit in the entrance examination.

Age Limit : No Age Bar

KIITEE 2012 Counselling

The candidates can see their result by giving their application number/roll number. Rank Card showing the rank in entrance examination, shall be sent to the qualified candidates. Candidates can download the rank card from the website. As per the availability of seats in different courses, cut-off rank for counseling will be notified. Candidates who have rank above cut-off rank will be called for counseling. In case of two or more candidates get equal score, then inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined as given below:

• B.Tech/B.Tech & M.Tech(Dual Degree) & B.Tech & MBA(Dual Degree): On the basis of marks obtained in Mathematics,then in Physics and then by age (preference to older candidates). 
• B.Tech. (LE): On the basis of marks obtained in Mathematics then in Basic Electrical Engineering and then by age. (Preference to the older candidate).
• MBBS/BDS & B.Sc.Nursing: On the basis of marks obtained in Biology, then in Chemistry and then by age (preference to older candidates).
• BBA / BCA/Bachelor of Design(Fashion/Textile)/Bachelor of Film & Television Production/B.A LLB/B.B.A LLB/B.Sc LLB: On the basis of Marks obtained in Mathematical Ability, then in Analytical Ability. Then in English and then by age. (Preference to the older candidate)
• Biotechnology - Dual Degree (B.Tech & M.Tech)(5 years): On the basis of marks obtained in Biology, then in Chemistry and then by age (preference to older candidates).
• MCA: On the basis of the marks obtained in Computer Awareness, then Mathematics and then by age ( Preference to older candidates)
• M.Tech: Preference to Older Candidates
• M.Sc.(Applied Microbiology/Biotechnology): On the basis of marks obtained in Biology, then Chemistry, then Mathematics and then by age. (Preference to Older Candidates)
• LLM: preference to older candidates.

Counseling Schedule will be published in the KIIT Website on the day of declaration of result. Candidates have to attend the counseling as per the fixed schedule. Counseling will be stopped as soon as all the seats reserved for the KIITEE-2012 are filled up. Verification of documents would be done at the time of counseling / admission.

Documents required at the time of counselling:

• Admit Card
• Rank Card
• 10th Pass Certificate
• 12th Marksheet and Pass Certificate
• Graduation Marksheet and Pass Certificate only for MCA ,M.Sc.(Biotechnology/ Applied Microbiology), M.Sc.Nursing.
• Diploma Pass Certificate and three years Mark Sheet (for Lateral Entry Candidates)
• B.Tech./B.E./ MCA/ M.Sc. or Equivalent Degree Certificate (For M.Tech./LLM/Ph.D Candidates)
• Relevant Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, clearly indicating the Reservation Criteria claimed by the candidate.
• Physically handicapped candidates need not bring medical certificates. The decision of Medical Board constituted by KIIT University will be final.
• GATE Score Card (for M.Tech. GATE Qualified only)
• School/College Leaving Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Draft of Rs.55, 000/- which includes the Counseling Registration Fees of Rs.5,000/- in favor of KIIT, payable at Bhubaneswar. Cash payment will not be accepted.
