Biju Patnaik University of Technology

The Biju Patnaik University of Technology ( BPUT ), Orissa, has its head-quarters in Rourkela which established in November 2002 through an act of the Government. But today, the University has 110 colleges, both constituent and affiliated, with around 58,000 students. The discipline includes engineering and architecture, business management and hotel management, computer studies and pharmacy. Many of these offer both undergraduate and post graduate studies.

BPUT offers technical education in numerous disciplines. The University has set up several advanced centers that offer the required facilities to the students for carrying out research activities. It has affiliated more than 100 colleges offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses. BPUT has established academic collaborations with educational institutes of higher repute to improve the quality of teaching and research standards. The University has established partnerships with industry for mutual benefit.
